Hello, welcome to Goldeneye Kennels. We are located in Gillette, Wyoming. My name is Sarah Gregory. I am a graduate of the University of Wyoming in Laramie, Wyoming. I received a B.S. in Molecular Biology with Honors and a minor in Spanish and a B.S. in Physiology. I took a short break from academia to focus on myself and my dogs. I currently attend University of Washington School of Medicine and plan to pursue and OBGYN Residency starting in 2017. I have a strong interest in public health and hope to be actively involved in my community while continuing to be a student of the Wirehaired Pointing Griffons. My parents Randy and Barb Gregory are a very important part of our kennel. They help train our dogs and are actively involved in their day-to-day life from competition to hunting. My parents are also involved with raising our litters.
Over the years I have worked with my dogs to complete their titles. My first dog was surprisingly a toy poodle named Buddy. Buddy taught me many things and helped me find and embrace the Wirehaired Pointing Griffon breed. I enjoy all aspects of the dog world and believe that it is very important to keep the Griffon a versatile sporting dog. Also, to make sure our Griffs will be more than a dog, but rather a member of the family. This is critical to Griffon development and livelihood. They are not meant to be “kennel” dogs, but rather to be curled up next to you in the house. I show and train in obedience, conformation, agility, rally, and hunting. My family and I also spend time in the field hunting.
I have attended seminars by Corky Vroom, Elicia Calhoun, Dr. Greg Burns, Dr. Richard Wheeler, Dr. Carmen Battaglia, and Dr. Trevor Arnold. I have had experience showing a variety of dogs including: Golden Retrievers, Siberian Huskies, Pomeranians, Shelties, American Water Spaniels, German Shepards and of course, Griffons!
